    Welcome from the Headmaster
At The British School Al Khubairat, we recognise that every child matters, that every child has different needs, that every child deserves the very best education.  You will not find any ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach here at The British School.  Because we really do understand that every child is a unique individual, we are able to focus upon those individual needs to bring out the very best in each child. This allows them to flourish and develop vital personal qualities that they will need in the adult world, such as self-reliance, independent and creative thinking, resilience, compassion, self-confidence, perseverance and respect for others.

And we have a team of professionally qualified, talented, energetic, caring and inspirational teachers and support staff who make sure that each student receives the individual attention needed to bring out those qualities.
We aim to create an environment for students where they may thrive in their academic work, in their creative pursuits, and through a wholehearted involvement in activities beyond the classroom.  We are certainly not perfect – no school is – but we are determined to continue to improve the education we provide for our students in partnership with our parents.
When I visited the school with my wife, Carol, for the first time last year, we were struck by the impressive energy and focused activity within the school, the tremendous support provided by its governors (most of whom are parents or former parents), the vibrant and indeed often joyful sense of commitment and determination amongst the pupils, and the clear sense of purpose amongst the teachers.  I was delighted to accept the challenge of leading the school and building upon its considerable strengths.
I now look forward to welcoming parents and children and their families who decide to visit us, so that you may meet our students and teachers and, through them, see for yourself what a truly remarkable school this is.
