The backbone of any good school is its staff. Here at The British School, we pride ourselves on the quality of our people. We have rigorous recruitment procedures, and very high selection standards.
Currently, there are around 250 members of staff employed across the whole school. The majority of our teaching staff are UK-trained, with the notable exception of our Arabic department teachers, who are all native Arabic speakers and are trained in the Middle East.
Every one of our teachers brings a breadth and depth of experience to the school and the children they teach.
Our support staff work in a range of capacities including: administration, IT, lab technicians, learning support, nursing, security, facilities management, buildings and grounds maintenance, library, cleaning and marketing.
We also have a large number of parent volunteers, who help out in the classrooms, or organise fundraising activities throughout the year to raise money for the school and chosen charities.
