Part-time Teacher of Strings

The ideal candidate will be able to teach both violin and viola, preferably up to Grade 8. The ideal candidate will require a degree and be able to demonstrate they have relevant teaching experience. There are opportunities to contribute to co-curricular music across the whole school – some of our students already hold performance diplomas.

Music at BSAK is a significant part of school life, with almost 500 students from year 3-13 receiving individual instrumental and singing lessons in school every week from a dedicated team of instrumental specialists. If you are passionate about music and teaching and enjoy working as part of a large and enthusiastic team we would like to hear from you.

Computer Science Teacher (Temporary Post)

We are looking to employ an Computer Science Teacher to commence 1st September, 2017.  The employment contract will be for 1 year.

The candidate will be a UK qualified teacher with either a QTS honours Degree in Computer Studies or a PGCE qualification. The candidate should possess relevant subject teaching experience.

Essential

The ability to program in Python (understanding of Java programming language would be an advantage)

Comprehension of theory based units at both key stage 3 and GCSE computer science

 

Desirable

Comprehension of theory based units for A-Level Computer Science

Experience of NEA at both GCSE and A-Level

Students in key stage 3 are given 1 hour per week of Computer Science.  The Computer Science department offers AQA GCSE Computer Science (8520) for key stage 4 students and AQA A-Level Computer Science (7516/7517) for sixth form students.

Head of Finance

We are looking to employ a Head of Finance, to commence October 2017. 

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting, preferably CPA/CMA/MBA. Proven experience as a Finance Manager is essential, in an education institution would be preferred.
