The British School has a well designed, extensive computer network linking the whole school, and providing comprehensive and fast internet connection throughout. We have a team of five people managing our ICT network, ensuring the most effective and smooth operation of our systems at all times.
Each classroom and year group has its own ICT facilities, including banks of computers in the primary year group shared areas, colour laser printers, digital projectors, scanners and digital cameras. Every classroom across the whole school has the latest interactive smart board for teaching purposes.
In addition, there are seven main ICT suites - five in the Secondary School and two in the Primary School. These are all equipped with enough computers to ensure one per child during lessons, plus an interactive smart board, a colour laser printer and a scanner. A good range of software is available on all machines, including the full Microsoft Office package to familiarise children from a young age with these every-day programmes.
In the Secondary School, the media studies suite is fitted out with 22 Apple Macs and 15 Mac Powerbooks. And the secondary art department also boasts a bank of Apple Macs with the latest design and media software.
