Sports days take place during the cooler months of December and January. Each year we hold one secondary sports day and three primary sports days - one for Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1, one for Years 3 and 4, and one for Years 5 and 6.
The secondary sports day sees students take part in a number of track and field events. The event is hosted at the UAE armed forces stadium. Competition is often fierce and standards high, but not at the expense of fun! As sports day is held in December, it usually has a very festive feel, and is one of the most popular events in the secondary school calendar.
In the primary sports days, every child takes part in a wide range of races, ranging from more traditional athletics events to some which are just for fun. Children compete both for their class and their school house, encouraged and supported by the many parents who come and join us on these days. Sports Personality and Sports Performance trophies are awarded to outstanding individuals on the day.
